These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases and use of products, services and experiences offered by NorthHouse Learning under the public-facing brand North House.
By purchasing or participating in a North House offering, you agree to the terms applicable to that offering.
1. About North House
North House is a learning and personal-development business offering reflective educational experiences, personalized Blueprints, coaching, Gatherings, publications and related products and services.
North House is designed to support self-understanding, reflection, learning and intentional living.
2. Reflective Frameworks
Some North House experiences, including The North House Blueprint and certain coaching services, may incorporate Human Design, astrology, personal values, journaling, reflection and other frameworks.
Human Design and astrology are used as reflective tools for self-exploration.
They are not scientific measures of personality or identity and are not intended to predict destiny or provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
No single framework defines a person.
You remain the final authority on your own experiences, choices and decisions.
3. The North House Blueprint
The North House Blueprint is a personalized reflective experience created using information supplied by the purchaser and multiple reflective frameworks.
The accuracy and usefulness of portions of the Blueprint may depend upon the accuracy of information supplied by the purchaser.
This is particularly relevant to:
- date of birth
- time of birth
- place of birth
An inaccurate or unknown birth time may affect Human Design or astrology interpretations.
North House is not responsible for inaccuracies arising from incorrect information supplied by the purchaser.
4. Personalized Nature of the Blueprint
Each Blueprint is created for an individual purchaser.
Once North House begins reviewing the completed questionnaire, preparing charts, interpreting information or otherwise creating personalized content, custom production has begun.
Because significant individualized work is involved, refund eligibility changes once personalized work begins, as explained in the North House Refund Policy.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- review information submitted during purchase for accuracy
- provide a valid email address
- provide a complete and accurate shipping address where physical delivery is required
- complete required questionnaires or intake materials reasonably necessary to provide the purchased service
- notify North House promptly if important information needs to be corrected
Delays in submitting required information may delay delivery.
6. Digital Delivery
Digital products and personalized digital Blueprints may be delivered electronically using email, private links, cloud-based file delivery or another reasonable digital method.
You are responsible for providing an accessible email address and downloading or retaining personal copies of delivered files where appropriate.
7. Physical Delivery
Physical products are shipped to the address submitted by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the mailing address is accurate and complete.
Once a package has been transferred to a postal or shipping carrier, delivery timelines may be affected by circumstances outside North House's control.
If a package is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, additional shipping costs may apply before the order is sent again.
Policies regarding lost, damaged or returned shipments will be applied reasonably according to the circumstances.
8. Delivery Timelines
Any delivery or completion timeframe shown on the North House website is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.
Personalized products require individual preparation.
North House will make reasonable efforts to meet published timelines, but delays may occasionally occur because of incomplete customer information, production requirements, postal delays or circumstances outside reasonable control.
If a material delay occurs, North House will communicate with the affected customer when reasonably possible.
9. Coaching
North House coaching is intended for personal reflection, development and goal exploration.
Coaching is not medical care, mental-health treatment, psychotherapy, legal advice, financial advice or another regulated professional service unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Clients remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.
Specific coaching packages may include additional scheduling, cancellation, communication and participation terms presented at purchase or onboarding.
10. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, North House retains ownership of its original:
- written content
- methods
- frameworks
- templates
- educational materials
- designs
- graphics
- publications
- branding
- website content
- Blueprint structure and presentation
Purchasing a North House Blueprint gives the purchaser permission to use and retain their own personalized Blueprint for personal purposes.
It does not transfer ownership of the underlying North House intellectual property.
North House materials may not be reproduced, resold, commercially distributed, republished or presented as another person's work without written permission.
11. Payments
Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
Payments are processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.
Where a payment plan or subscription is offered, additional payment terms shown at checkout form part of the agreement.
12. Email Communications
North House may send communications reasonably necessary to fulfill a purchase or provide a requested service.
Examples include order confirmation, onboarding, questionnaires, scheduling, delivery and shipping communications.
Marketing email subscriptions are managed separately and may be unsubscribed from at any time.
13. Limitation of Purpose
North House does not guarantee a particular personal, professional, financial, relationship, health or other outcome from using its products or services.
The purpose of North House offerings is to provide reflection, education, perspective and tools for self-understanding.
How a participant interprets and uses those materials remains their responsibility.
14. Third-Party Services
North House relies on third-party technologies and providers including website platforms, payment processors, email providers, cloud storage, scheduling systems and shipping providers.
North House is not responsible for temporary outages or failures of third-party systems outside its reasonable control, although reasonable efforts will be made to resolve issues affecting delivery.
15. Privacy
Personal information is handled according to the North House Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
16. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund eligibility is governed by the North House Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Where an offering includes additional cancellation or rescheduling rules, those rules may also apply.
17. Changes to These Terms
North House may update these Terms as its offerings, systems or legal requirements evolve.
The version in effect at the time of purchase will generally govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or is more favourable to the customer.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
